Love, Death +Robots
Love Death and Robots is one of a kind. This is a vibrant collection of short stories inspired by different creatives and genres; horror, fantasy, Sci-Fi, and comedy. It premiered in 2019 but has new episodes as recent as May 29th. Some of the short stories featured in Love, Death + Robots include the Ice Age, Jibaro, Witness, Sucker of Souls, which follows the traditional animation style, Shape Shifters, which is in 3D, and Good Hunting, which is inspired by the Asian setting among others.
In short, Love, Death + Robots has a little bit of something for every adult fascinated by animation. It rates 85 percent on Tomatometer and 73 percent average audience score. It is available on Netflix, three volumes long, and strictly for an adult audience.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Obi-Wan Kenobi’s story starts when an era is threatened by this new dark era that seeks to take over. It also features Obi-Wan Kenobi’s journey, which has grown all the more melancholy 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. The Grand Inquisitor under the strict follows of Order 66. constantly harasses the locals at the Cantina to uncover hidden Jedis. Obi-Wan Kenobi was a well-done piece and earned a rating of 88 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and a 71 percent average audience score. The limited series has six episodes and is available on Disney plus.
Together with having a catchy title, this series pushes all the right buttons. It is a cocktail of drama, adventure, action, and Sci-Fi. This show was created by Joby Harold, Kathleen Kennedy, and two other producers.
Stranger Things
Stranger Things did, in fact, come with strange twists in this last season. Season 4 premiered on May 27th, 2022, and has its focuses on a new villain, Vecna. This plot is woven around trying to find out who Vecna is. Eleven, at this point, is struggling to fit in and gets herself in trouble after being provoked. In search of the person in the villain, Eleven agrees to work with Dr. Martin Brennar again as the team tries to solve a murder mystery. She regains her powers and helps them in the search. There are numerous exciting twists and turns.
Stranger Things season is available on Netflix. It has earned itself a rating of 93 percent on Tomatometer and an average audience rating of 91 percent.
HeartStopper
HeartStopper is a teen drama inspired by Alice Ossman’s comic and publication known as Solitaire. This English series explores the lives of two teen boys, Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring, who are on a journey of self-discovery. It is a diverse romantic comedy and is open to all types of sexuality. It was directed by Euros Lyn; it premiered in April this year and has seen a tremendous viewership.
It has earned a clean 100 percent rating on Tomatometer and an average audience review of 98 percent. The series has 8 episodes, each 30 minutes long. It is available on Netflix.
The Lincoln Lawyer
This is for the lovers of courtroom drama. This series is based on Michael Connely’s novels. It is one season long and has ten episodes, each forty to fifty minutes long. Nickey Holer practices his law on the back of his Lincoln and gets to work on very groundbreaking high-profile cases. The plot also has a has its lens on the aspect of family, friendship, and work. It has a 78 percent rating on Tomatometer and an 83 percent public score.
One may never exhaust all the great series that are out there. However, those mentioned above feature among the most popular in 2022.
